Veronica Transylvanian born Sydney based artist. Her work is an exploration of processes in glass and mixed media. Hands-on material manipulation is an instrumental part of her working process. This allows Veronica to practice utilising an array of concepts in conjunction with a broad range of techniques and materials. Veronica takes a material into the unexpected combination of their possibilities and each work turns into a surprise. The artist aim has been to create work that investigate and communicate her personal experiences. Her work is revealed as a mode of acting and reacting to her experience, as life always is. She hopes to capture a memory and a movement in the work, to give a sense of something present and alive, just like feelings and memories. But, at the same time, she hopes to evoke a calm feeling, where, yes, something is missing, but not something necessarily lost.
